Description
Nos. 15, 15A, and 16 Market Street are two shops that have been converted into three shops. They were originally built in the 18th century and underwent remodelling in the early to mid-19th century. The exterior features render that replaces stucco, with a central stucco quoin strip, deep eaves supported by brackets on No. 15 (the right side), and a steep hipped roof covered in asbestos slate. The building has a single-depth plan, with a rear outshut and a narrow wing at right angles. It stands three storeys high and has a four-window range. The windows are mid to late 19th century hornless sashes with four panes each. The shop fronts were updated in the late 20th century, and there is a small dormer added in the 20th century. The interior has not been inspected.
