Description

Tideford Lodge is a mid to late 19th-century lodge that now serves as a house. It features slatestone rubble construction with granite and slate dressings, topped by a slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends, and has a gable end stack on the right. The building has a two-room plan with an entrance through a porch on the left side. There is a small single-storey addition to the right and a 20th-century single-storey addition at the rear.

The exterior is two storeys high and has an asymmetrical front. It includes a gabled projecting wing with a single casement window on both the ground and first floors; the ground floor window has a granite band around its head, which continues as a band course. To the right, there is a bay with a three-light casement window featuring L hinges from the 19th century, also with a similar banded head. The right side has granite quoins and a small gabled dormer above with a two-light casement window with L hinges. A large rubble stack is located at the right gable end, and the small single-storey addition is attached to this side.

On the left side, there is a two-storey gabled porch with a doorway featuring a flat arch and a granite keystone, leading to a 20th-century panelled and glazed door. A small two-light casement window is present on the ground floor. The rear has a 20th-century single-storey addition. The interior has not been inspected.
