Description

Spring Bank is a house dating from the mid-19th century, with few subsequent alterations. It is constructed of rubble, which has been rendered and lined out. The roof is hipped and covered with asbestos slates, featuring a crested ridge tile and stacks with brick shafts. The house follows a double-depth plan, with a central entrance and principal rooms to the front left and right.

The exterior is two storeys and symmetrical, with a three-window front. All windows are 19th-century 16-pane sashes. A central porch has a pitched roof, margin glazing, scalloped bargeboards, and a half-glazed door with margin panes. A flat-roofed addition has been constructed to the left side, with the upper part slate-hung. The right side and rear are in painted rubble. The right side features a 16-pane sash window at ground floor level. The rear has three 16-pane sashes at first floor level and one at ground floor level to the left; a small two-storey addition extends to the right, incorporating a porch. The interior remains uninspected.
