Description
The walls, gate piers, and gates located south and west of Porth-en-Alls date from around 1910 to 1914 and are associated with Porth-en-Alls House. They are constructed from granite monolith rubble and feature round mortar copings. The gate piers are also made of granite monoliths, and the gates are made of hardwood.
The walls flank the driveway leading to Porth-en-Alls, with one gateway at the entrance northwest of the house and another gateway at the lower side of the driveway near the house. The main gateway includes a granite stile on its right side. The gate has three rails with diagonally set bars between the bottom rails and N-bracing between the top rails. The letter "P" is located between the N-bracing, which likely was originally a "B" for Behrens, although the lower loop of the "B" is missing. The top rail of this gate is slightly shaped. The other gate is similarly constructed but features central cross bracing and arch-bracing at either end.
