Description

The gate-piers and flanking walls in front of Tregonebris Farmhouse date from the early to mid-19th century. They are constructed from granite ashlar with granite dressings, and the walls adjoining the smaller gateway are made of granite rubble. These walls are located on two sides of a garden, positioned in front of the original south front of the house and the mid-19th century east front.

The wide gateway leading to the east front features a square pier and flanking concave quadrant walls, which also have square terminal piers. The other walls return at right angles behind the left side and include a narrow gateway with slender square piers that align with the original 18th-century doorway of the house. The principal east gateway has a rock-faced plinth, cavetto moulded copings, and similar pyramidal caps. The other gateway features steep pyramidal caps on the monolithic piers.

There is a wrought iron gate from the early 19th century, which retains some rounded decoration on the lock rail. Additionally, set into the rubble wall to the left of the gateway are a granite cider press base and a granite cider crushing wheel.
