Description
The headstone, dating from the late 18th century, is located by the churchyard wall south of the tower of the Church of St Credan in Sancreed. It is a nowy-headed granite monolith featuring an incised inscription that is partly obscured. The inscription reads "TG" in crude upper case letters with serifs, and notes that TG was aged 20. The headstone is associated with the village inn known as "The Bird in Hand," which was established in the 19th century.
