Description
SANCREED SANCREED SW 42 NW 5/294 Gate-piers, stile, steps, gate and - railings, south of east end of Church of St Credan GV II Gate-piers, stile, steps, gate and railings. Circa late C18 or early C19. Gateway has granite ashlar side walls with chamfered granite copings, dressed granite steps, wrought-iron gates, railings and overthrow. Grid stile is flanked by low side walls and is approached by flight of 5 steps rising to a landing in front of the gateway. Circa early C19 wrought-iron gate, and flanking railings over the side wall, have finialled bars. Arched bracing to gate and ramped top rails. Round-arched overthrow has central lamp holder.
