Description

The gate piers, steps, and gate located approximately 80 meters north-northeast of the Church of St Breaca are likely from the 18th century, with gates from the early 19th century. They feature dressed granite piers and steps, along with wrought iron gates. The piers resemble high-backed settles that flank a granite cattle grid. The gates have curved bracing and closely spaced bars beneath the lock rail, with ramped top rails and spiked iron cresting on each pier. Additionally, there is a simple iron balustrade on each side of the steps, with the handrail scrolling underneath. This gateway is similar to another at the southwest entrance to the churchyard, which is dated 1756.
