Description

The Corner Cottage is a small house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of dressed granite and granite rubble, which is roughly coursed, with dressed granite quoins, jambstones, sills, and lintels. The roof is made of asbestos slate and features a brick chimney at each gable end. It has cast-iron ogee gutters.

The layout consists of two rooms with a lobby in front of a straight stair in between. The left side likely served as a parlour, situated on slightly lower ground, while the right side contains a kitchen or living room with a large fireplace. There is also a later single-storey lean-to at the left end.

The house is two storeys high and has a nearly symmetrical southeast front with two windows. The central doorway and window are slightly grouped towards the left. The door is from the 20th century, and the windows are 4-pane horned sashes from the late 19th or early 20th century, all set in their original openings. The interior has not been inspected.

The Corner Cottage is an unspoiled small house located near the church.
