Description
The tombchest of Elizabeth and John Brown, located 52 metres southeast of the Church of St Materiana, dates from 1789. It commemorates Elizabeth Brown, who died in 1789, and John Brown, who died in 1790. The chest is made of stone rubble and features a rectangular slate lid. The inscriptions are in upper and lower case lettering with serifs.
