Description

The Brown tomb, dating from 1786, is located in the churchyard of the Church of St Mary the Virgin in Essendon. This chest tomb is dedicated to Thomas Brown and is situated on the north side of the chancel. It features stone consoles at both ends and has a shallow pediment adorned with paterae and fluting.
