Description
The monument to Elizabeth Brown is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 2.5 meters southeast of the porch to the Church of St Mary Magdalen. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of sandstone. The tomb features a flat top with a chamfered edge and slightly fielded panels on the north and south sides. It has a chamfered base, and the top was noted to be displaced at the time of the survey in November 1983. This monument commemorates Elizabeth Brown, who passed away in 1785.
