Description

This is a hall, or assembly room, likely dating from the late 18th century. It is situated on Broad Street, Penryn. The building has granite ashlar walls with flat arches, and a dry Delabole slate roof with granite copings, topped by a brick stack on the left-hand side. It is a substantial building with a deep plan, designed with a symmetrical appearance. The facade is single-storey over a basement and features a two-window arrangement. Modern twelve-pane horned sash windows are set within the facade, and a tall central doorway, which replaces a former window, has a modern panelled door, panelled sidelights, and a four-pane overlight. The interior has not been inspected.
