Description

This is a late 18th-century town house, altered in the mid-19th century, located on Lower Market Square in Penryn. The house is constructed of granite ashlar with a plinth, and features keyed flat arches above the second-floor windows and the doorway. It has a dry slate roof with projecting front eaves. The building follows a double-depth plan. The symmetrical front elevation has three storeys and two windows. The second floor has 16-pane sash windows, and two-storey canted bays with similar sashes flank the central doorway, which has a four-pane top-glazed door. The rear of the house has a three-window front across two storeys and a basement, with deep eaves. It features oak lintels above 20th-century casement windows and a central 20th-century door. The interior has not been inspected.
