Description
The tomb chest of Robert and Mary Allanson, dated 1778, is located 12 metres north of the west tower of Egloshayle Church. It commemorates Robert Allanson, who died in 1778, his wife Mary, who passed away in 1810, and their children Rebecca, Thomas, and Robert. The chest is made of stone rubble and features a rectangular slate lid with a nowy-shaped panel. The inscriptions are in upper and lower case lettering with serifs.
