Description

This chest tomb, dating from the 17th century, is located about 10 metres south of the tower of the Church of St Andrew in East Allington. It is made of dressed slate and features a slate lid. On the north side, there is a slate plaque inscribed in Gothic script that reads, "To the memory of Mary.... Hynde of Poole died 1676."
