Description

The garden wall located south east of Higher Pool Farmhouse is likely from the 17th century and is constructed of slate rubble, with some sections featuring slate capping. This high wall encloses the front garden to the south east of the farmhouse. Directly opposite the front doorway of the house, there is a round arch gateway made with dressed slate voussoirs, which are chamfered on the outside and have rebated jambs on the inside. Additionally, there is a doorway in the north east section of the wall that has a stone tablet above it, featuring a quatrefoil in low relief.
