MENHENIOT MENHENIOT Holywell 15m to south of The Vicarage

(Formerly listed as Holywell 30m to west of Vicarage)

II

Holy well. Dedicated to St Lalluwy in C13 and C14 documents. Rebuilt using reused material probably in mid C19. Granite with granite roof with gabled ends. Set in rubblestone wall square in plan. 2 centred arch with cavetto mould to arch and jambs on front (south) with recessed spandrels with raised bosses. The arch stones with spandrels appear to be reused and were probably originally set the other way to form a 4-centred arch. Square well opening.
