Description

The Holy Well at Trelowthas, located approximately 50 meters west of Trethowlas Farmhouse, is likely of 14th-century origin, although it has undergone significant restoration. Historically, a chapel was licensed to John Bodrugan in 1379. The structure is built from shale rubble and granite, integrated into the bank. The entrance features a chamfered, two-centred dressed granite arch, which has probably been reset over rubble jambs. The roof is corbelled to follow the shape of the doorway and is topped with flat capstones.
