Description
The wash house, located approximately 8 meters west of Sea View in St Hilary, dates from the mid-19th century. It features walls made of killas rubble and a grouted scantle slate roof with a brick chimney on the right-hand gable end. The structure is a small rectangular wash house with a narrower and shallower earth closet attached at the back.
It is a single-storey building with one window on the east front, a doorway on the right, and a window towards the left. The door is ledged, and it has an original 12-pane hornless sash window. The interior has not been inspected. This wash house remains unaltered and is part of a group of listed buildings set in a beautiful coastal landscape.
