Description

The structure is a wall and integral mounting block located immediately to the north of Penrose Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed from granite and slate rubble, featuring granite dressings. The low stone wall encloses a small stone-paved yard at the rear of Penrose Farmhouse. The wall has chamfered granite coping and small square-section granite monolith gate piers. The mounting block, situated against the inside of the wall, includes granite steps and a large granite stone on top with a chamfered soffit, which may have been repurposed from a large gate pier.
