Description

The wall mounting block and two pairs of gate piers surrounding the garden to the east of Smallacombe Farmhouse date from the early 18th century and are likely built at the same time as the farmhouse itself. The garden wall is constructed of Flemish bond brick and features a brick coping. The walls rise up to the gate piers, which are rectangular in shape and topped with pinnacles made of four diminishing courses of brick, each crowned by carved and moulded stone finials. A mounting block is located against the south wall on the south side.
