Description

Jays Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in 1851, as indicated by the datestone. It is constructed from stone rubble and features a hipped slate roof with two spans at the rear and end stacks. The building has a double depth plan, with the main rooms located on either side of a central stair hall, while service rooms are situated at the back. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-bay front. The central front door is topped with a semi-circular fanlight, and there are 16-pane sash windows, with the ground floor window on the left being tripartite. The interior has not been inspected, but it is likely that contemporary joinery is still present.
