Description

This milestone, located to the northeast of Shallowpit in Blisland, dates from the early 19th century. It is made of granite and has a rectangular shape. The post is incised with the letter 'B' and the number '4'. This milestone is a remnant of the Turnpike Road Act for roads leading into Bodmin, which was passed in 1769.
