Description

Milestone located 400 metres to the northeast of Tregooden, dating from the early 19th century. It is a granite monolith that is rectangular in shape with a rounded top, painted white. The lettering is inscribed and painted black, featuring the letter "B" with a benchmark below it. This milestone is part of the turnpike road system established by the Turnpike Road Act for roads leading to Bodmin, which was passed in 1769.
