Description
The barn located to the south-west of Manely Dunford farmhouse dates from the early 19th century. It features a shippon and stables on the ground floor, with a threshing floor and hayloft above. The structure is built of rubblestone and has a scantle slate roof with hipped ends. It is two storeys tall with an asymmetrical front. The ground floor has three openings beneath brick segmental arches, each with plank doors. There is a straight joint between the second and third openings. On the first floor, there is a wide opening on the left with a plank door and a slate hood above it. Beneath a brick segmental arch, there is a window opening with timber shutters. To the right, there is another wide opening with a plank door and slate hood above, along with two window openings under timber lintels, also with timber shutters. The interior has not been inspected. This barn is included for its group value with Manely Dunford farmhouse.
