Description
This is a barn located to the north of Dunton Manor, dating from the 18th century. It features a timber frame with brick infill in the lower walls, weatherboarding above, and a rubble stone plinth. The barn has a slate roof and consists of four bays. There is a waggon entry in the third bay, which is opposite a later single bay extension at the rear. The roof trusses include braced tie beams, queen struts, and straight braced double purlins. In the 20th century, an open lean-to was added to the front, supported by timber posts and a braced wall plate. The lower flanking outbuildings are from the 19th century and are not considered of special interest.
