Description
49 Church Street is a detached town house located in Helston, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from local rubble with granite dressings and features a hipped asbestos slate roof with projecting eaves and brick end stacks. The building has a shallow-depth plan and stands two storeys tall. The front facade is symmetrical with three windows, plus a one-window embattled screen wall for a lean-to on the left and a 20th-century one-window bay on the right. The windows are 16-pane hornless sashes, and the doorway, which is central to the original two-storey part, has a 20th-century glazed door. The rear of the building retains original 16-pane hornless sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
