Description
The schoolhouse, built in 1828, is located on the north side of the former National School in Helston. It is constructed from granite ashlar and features a plinth, a mid-floor string course, and flat arches. The roof is hipped and covered with asbestos slate. The building has a shallow-depth plan and is positioned against the churchyard wall at the rear. It is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-window entrance front. The windows are 20th-century twelve-pane horned sashes, and there is a central doorway with a 20th-century four-panel door. Additionally, there are central blind windows on the right-hand side of the road front return. The interior has not been inspected.
