Description
The schoolhouse, built in 1828, is one of a pair associated with the former National School. It is constructed from granite ashlar and features a plinth, a mid-floor string course, and flat arches. The roof is hipped and covered with asbestos slate, with a brick stack on the left and a rendered stack at the rear. The building has a shallow-depth plan and stands two storeys high, presenting a symmetrical two-window entrance front. The original windows are 12-pane hornless sashes, and there is a central doorway with a partly-glazed door from the mid-20th century. To the right, there is a 20th-century matching linking structure. The road front return has blind central windows. The interior has not been inspected.
