Description
The gate piers and railings to the east of the former National School in Helston were built in 1828. They are associated with the National School known as The Andrew Hall. The forecourt features granite ashlar walls and plinths that support iron railings, including central return railings between two rectangular courtyards. There are two gateways located at the center; the left-hand entrance has scrolled ramps leading to a central urn finial. The close-spaced wrought-iron railings are supported by stanchions topped with urn finials.
