Description
Gwealhellis Cottage is a small, detached house dating from the 18th century, situated on Church Hill in Helston. The exterior is constructed of local rubble with some stucco, featuring timber lintels over the ground-floor openings. The first floor has been altered in the 19th century, with segmental arches over the windows. The roof is steeply pitched and covered in scantle slate, and the house has brick end stacks. Originally a double-depth plan, it has an irregular two-window facade. Some of the horizontal-sliding sash windows retain glazing bars, though others are boarded over. A mid-20th century top-glazed door is present. The interior was inaccessible at the time of survey.
