3/348 Building at approx 4m north of The Moorings

GV II

Summer house folly. Circa early C19. Shale rubble walls, slate sills, roof overgrown (probably scantle slate) brick chimney over right-hand gable. Single-cell roughly rectangular plan with with quadrant walling to integral porch on left, hearth on right, built into bank at rear. Gothic influence. Single storey, but over retaining wall foundation. 2-window south front with original leaded windows with intersecting traceried glazing to pointed arched openings. Simple lime-washed interior with brick floor and boarded ceiling.
