Description
This building, located approximately 4 meters north of The Moorings, is a summer house folly dating from the early 19th century. It features walls made of shale rubble and has slate sills. The roof, likely covered with scantle slate, is overgrown, and there is a brick chimney on the right-hand gable. The structure has a single-cell, roughly rectangular plan with quadrant walling forming an integral porch on the left side and a hearth on the right, built into the bank at the rear. It exhibits Gothic influences and is a single storey, raised over a retaining wall foundation. The south front has two windows with original leaded glass, featuring intersecting traceried glazing in pointed arched openings. Inside, the space is simply lime-washed, with a brick floor and a boarded ceiling.
