Description

This is a cartshed and stables located to the southeast of Treloweth Farmhouse, dating from the 19th century. The building features painted rubble walls and a scantle slate roof that is higher at either end. The layout includes a large open-fronted cartshed in the center, supported by a central granite monolithic pier, with stables on both sides. The right-hand stable has a room above it, known as Nellie's room, named after a former occupant. The structure is single-storey, with doorways on the right side of the stables and small windows on the left. The right-hand stable also has a small window under the eaves to provide light to the groom's accommodation, which is partly in the roof space. The interior has not been inspected.
