Description

This is an 18th-century sundial located approximately 20 metres south of the west end of the Church of St Michael in Helston. The sundial features a restored aluminium dial created by F Houghton in 1986. It is made of dressed granite and has a moulded round sundial holder mounted on an onion-shaped shaft, which stands on a square base. This square base is set within an octagonal base that is secured with iron cramps and includes iron stumps from a former fence.
