The Old Manse and house adjoining on east

The Old Manse and the adjoining house to the east, located at 11 and 13 Victoria Road in Camelford, is a building that dates back to 1851 and the later 19th century. Originally serving as the manse for the Bible Christian Chapel, it is now a private residence. The structure is built from stone rubble, with the earlier manse on the right featuring rusticated granite quoins and a slate roof that has a hipped end and brick stacks. The later manse on the left has a rendered and painted front with a slate roof and gable ends.

The earlier manse likely has a two-room double depth plan, with an entrance on the right leading into a hall that has a stair at the rear and a main reception room on the front left. The later manse follows a double depth plan as well, with a central entrance, two reception rooms at the front, and service rooms at the back.

The exterior of the building is two storeys high. The earlier manse has a regular two-window front, featuring a canted bay window on the left and two eight-pane sash windows on the first floor. The later manse has a symmetrical three-window front with four-pane sash windows and a late 19th or early 20th century gabled glazed conservatory.

The building is notable as the birthplace of Samuel Pollard, who lived from 1864 to 1915. A plaque on the exterior of the Bible Christian Sunday School commemorates him as one of "Cornwall's greatest sons," recognizing his contributions as a Bible Christian Methodist Minister and missionary in China from 1887 to 1915, where he was a pioneer among the Miao people.

The Old Manse forms part of a terrace that includes the Bible Christian Chapel, built in 1841, and the schoolroom, constructed in 1885, which is located to the right of the property.
