Roseland And House Attached To Left

Roseland and the house attached to the left are a pair of attached houses built around 1830, with few later alterations. They are constructed of stone rubble, rendered and lined out, and feature a hipped slate roof with stacks on the sides, an axial stack, and a rear lateral stack to the right, all rendered. The deep eaves add to the architectural detail.

The layout consists of Roseland on the right and a larger house to the left, which is three bays wide, while the house on the right is two bays wide. Each house has a porch leading to a passage, designed with a double depth plan.

The exterior is two storeys high and has a symmetrical five-window range, featuring 12-pane sashes set in plain raised architraves with slate cills. There is a plinth at the base. On the ground floor, there are porches in the second bay from the right and the second bay from the left, each with double half-glazed doors, a cornice, and a blocking course, along with a single light on the inner side. The left side of the building is rendered and lined out, while the right side has a 12-pane sash window at both the ground and first floors to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
