Description
23 Horfield Road is a house, now divided into flats, dating from around 1790. It features a rendered exterior with limestone dressings, gable stacks, and a pantile roof. The building has a double-depth plan and is designed in a mid-Georgian style. It rises to three storeys and has a four-window range. The front is regular, with a moulded coping and a Roman Doric porch located slightly to the right. This porch has a dentil cornice, a semicircular-arched doorway with imposts, a four-panel fanlight, and a six-panel door, with the top pair being glazed. The windows are 8/8-pane sashes. On the left side, there is a gable, and the rear section features a full-height bow with triple 6/6-pane sashes set in flush frames. The interior has not been inspected.
