Description

Windsor Cottage is an attached house built around 1820, located in Clifton, Bristol. It features black stucco with limestone dressings and has a slate mansard and flat roof. The building has a double-depth plan, three storeys, an attic, and a basement, with a three-window range. The two-window front has pilaster strips leading to a moulded coping, with the left section set back. The left-hand doorway is framed with a fluted surround and imposts, and includes a three-panel overlight and a six-panel door with reeded lower panels. There is a single ground-floor 20th-century French window, two first-floor French windows, and 20th-century casements on the second floor. A tented timber first-floor balcony features pointed-arched railings with quatrefoils and flat stanchions. The rear has a later attic mansard, while the front has a flat roof. The interior has not been inspected. The property also includes attached wrought-iron basement area and front garden railings, along with limestone piers topped with round gableted caps.
