Description
Wellington House is a house built around 1830, located on Canynge Road in Clifton, Bristol. It features a rendered exterior with limestone dressings and a hipped slate roof, designed in the Greek Revival style. The house has two storeys and a three-window range. The entrance front includes a first-floor cornice and a shallow pediment adorned with blocks incised with a Greek key pattern. There are open porches on the ground floor, with the left-hand porch showcasing a reeded architrave that leads to a recessed eight-panel door. Above this doorway is a late 19th-century three-light mullion window that curves around the corner. The ground floor also has French windows that resemble those on the first floor, with sunken panels above. The central sections of the left and right returns feature similar pediments. The interior has not been inspected.
