Description
The Cottage and attached wall, piers, and gates is a house dating from the early 19th century, located in Bristol. The building is rendered with a rendered stack and features a slate hipped roof. It has a double-depth plan and is designed in a late Georgian style. The house is two storeys tall and has a two-window range. The ground floor has semicircular-arched recesses that contain sash windows, with a similar feature on the left gable end. There is a full-height quarter-section winder stair bay at the right-hand end, which adjoins the chapel. This bay has a 17th-century frame with stopped jamb mouldings, possibly originating from the original Meeting House. It also includes a panelled door with lattice-work spandrels, an open porch, and a sash window with an interlacing head above. The first floor features 6/6-pane sashes and has overhanging boxed eaves. The interior has not been inspected. The attached wall includes coped piers and early 19th-century wrought-iron double gates.
