Description
The screen walls, piers, wrought-iron railings, and gates to numbers 19 and 21 on Merchant Street in Broadmead date from the late 18th century, although they were erected around 1970. The structure features ashlar piers and wrought-iron railings and gates. The walls are attached to three sides of a courtyard, with piers that have cornices, elaborately designed railings, and two-leaf gates that include a raised central element. Originally, a rubble wall surrounded the courtyard, and the wrought-iron work was relocated from another site.
