Description

This early 19th-century revetment wall, entrance screen, and railings form part of Windsor Terrace in Clifton, Bristol. The substantial revetment wall creates a platform for the terrace and is constructed of pennant rubble. An entrance screen features square piers surmounted by cast-iron lamps, and spear-headed wrought-iron railings extend approximately 100 metres along the raised terrace. The revetment wall is visually significant as it contributes to the important view of Clifton across the Avon to the south.
