Description
No. 11 Windsor Terrace is a house dating to around 1840, situated on the north side of Windsor Terrace in Clifton, Bristol. The house is constructed of stucco with limestone dressings, and features lateral stacks. It has a double-depth plan and stands three storeys high, originally with a four-window front. The front has been significantly altered to the right, featuring clasping pilasters, bands, a cornice, and a parapet. A left-hand, three-storey extension has rounded corners. A two-storey porch is positioned slightly left of centre, with a rusticated surround to a semicircular-arched doorway. The doorway has a batswing fanlight, paired timber pilasters, and a six-panel door. To the right of the porch is a canted, three-storey bay with plate-glass sashes. The tripartite windows are positioned above the door and in the one-window left return. Sashes with 6/6 panes are characteristic of the original house and are found in other locations. The interior was not inspected as part of the listing process.
