Description

This listing describes a pair of attached houses located on Ashley Road in Montpelier, Bristol, dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. The houses are constructed from limestone ashlar and feature a pantile roof, with a Pennant rubble garden wall. They are designed in a late Georgian style and have a double-depth plan. The buildings rise three storeys and include a basement, with a four-window range. The façade is enhanced by fluted pilasters that support a frieze, cornice, and parapet. The outer doorways are round-arched, with steps leading up to them, and have plain architraves with imposts and keys, along with plate-glass fanlights and six-panel doors. The windows are modern 20th-century sashes. The interior has not been inspected. Additionally, there are attached front garden walls that are considered subsidiary features.
