Description
A pair of attached houses, built in the late 18th century as part of a terrace in Bristol’s Montpelier district. The houses are constructed of limestone ashlar, with party wall stacks and an interlocking tile mansard roof. They are arranged over three storeys, with an attic and basement, and each has a two-window frontage. The facades feature fluted pilaster strips rising to a cornice and crenellated parapet. A semicircular doorway is located on the left-hand side of No.139, and another is set into the right return of No.141, both with plate-glass fanlights. The windows are plate-glass sashes set in plain openings. The interior has not been inspected. An attached front garden is enclosed by rubble walls with an ashlar doorway leading to No.139, bearing the inscription ROSSENDALE.
