Description

Nelson's Cottage is an early 19th-century building located on the south side of Mudeford. It features a painted brick facade with brick eaves and a hipped slate roof. The cottage has three storeys and two sash windows with late 19th-century glazing. The ground floor includes a modern recessed reproduction bay window and a six-panelled door, with the top two panels cut away and glazed. It is listed as Grade II for its group value, which includes Lava Cottage, Sandhills, its lodge, and the street boundary wall and gate piers. The lodge at Sandhills is noted for its local interest.
