Early C19. Painted brick facade with brick eaves and hipped slate roof. 3 storeys. 2 windows, sashes with late C19 glazing. Ground floor has modern recessed reproduction bay window. 6 panelled door, top 2 panels cut away and glazed. Included in Grade II, for group value.

Lava Cottage. Nelson's Cottage. Sandhills. its lodge and the street boundary wall and gate piers form a group. The lodge at Sandhills is of local interest.
