Description
6 and 8 Scotts Hill Lane are a pair of early 19th-century cottages. They are constructed of painted brick and topped with a slate roof. Each cottage has two storeys and two windows on the first floor, featuring early 19th-century casements with shutters. The ground floor of No 6 retains original small bow windows with glazing bars, while No 8 has reproduction bow windows. No 6 also has a modern porch, and No 8 features a 19th-century gabled brick perch. The eastern garden boundary wall to No 34 Purewell contributes to the group value of Nos 6 and 8 Scotts Hill Lane, along with Nos 3 to 15 (odd), which are buildings of local interest.
