Description
The Lodge to Manor Hospital is a single-storey building with an attic, constructed in limestone ashlar and topped with a hipped slate roof featuring a moulded stack at the rear. It has a square plan and is designed with three windows on each side. The exterior is adorned with a moulded eaves cornice, a lintel frieze, and stepped lintel bands.
The entrance is located on the north elevation, slightly set forward to the left of the centre. It features a wide and shallow segmental pediment with a returned cornice, above which are three attic windows framed by Tuscan pilasters. The cill aligns with the eaves cornice, and below it is a frieze decorated with four roundels that have spiral centres. A lintel band beneath this frieze is supported by three square Tuscan pillars, with one positioned to the right of centre. To the right of the entrance, there is a six-over-six sash window with a roundel above it. The right return of the building also has three similar windows, with the moulded lintel band rising in a semicircle over the central window, while the side windows feature roundels above. The interior has not been inspected.
