Description
Nos. 5 and 6 Church Road is a house located at the entrance to the churchyard, dating from the early 19th century with 20th-century alterations. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, featuring freestone quoins and dressings, and has a pantile roof that is hipped to the rear with two stacks on the left side. The house has a double depth plan, with a 20th-century wing added to the northeast of No. 6.
The exterior is two storeys high and has a two-window range. The entrance front of No. 5, which faces southwest, features a high coped shouldered gable with an oculus at the apex, a cornice band, and six-over-six pane sash windows on the first floor above a mid-19th-century lean-to conservatory that spans the facade. No. 6, to the right, has a 20th-century door and various windows. The interiors have not been inspected.
